Topping up your Balance is quick and works directly inside Jiji. Here's how:
- Sign in to your Jiji account;
- Go to My Profile and click your Balance at the top of the page;
- Click "Top up" (or "Add funds");
- Enter the amount you want to add and choose a payment method;
- Complete the payment — follow the steps on the screen for the method you chose;
- Once the payment is confirmed, the funds appear in your Balance and are ready to use.
Supported payment methods in Nigeria:
- Debit/credit card — Verve, Visa, Mastercard;
- Bank transfer — direct transfer from your Nigerian bank account;
- USSD — pay from your phone using your bank's USSD shortcode;
- Other methods — depending on the payment provider, you may also see Mobile Money or in-app options.
How fast does the money arrive?
- Card and USSD — typically instant once the payment is approved by your bank;
- Bank transfer — usually within a few minutes, but can take longer depending on your bank.
If your payment didn't arrive in your Balance:
- Refresh the page and check your transaction history;
- Wait a few minutes — bank transfers may take some time to be reflected;
- If the money was deducted but still doesn't appear in Balance after 30 minutes, contact our Support Team at support@jiji.ng with the proof of payment.
