How do I save a search and get notified about new ads?

Looking for something specific that's not always available? Save your search, and Jiji will notify you whenever a new matching ad is posted.

1. Go to Jiji and search for what you want, using filters as needed (category, region, price range, condition, brand, etc.);
2. Once your search results look right, click "Save search" (you'll see this button above the listings or near the filter panel);
3. Choose a name for the search if you want — for example, "iPhone 13 under ₦400,000 in Lagos";
4. That's it — the search is now saved.

How notifications work:

• When a new ad matching your saved search is posted on Jiji, we'll send you a push notification (in the mobile app) or an in-app alert;
• You can tap the notification to open the new ad directly.

Where to manage your saved searches:

• On the website: open your profile menu and choose "Saved searches";
• In the mobile app: tap the Saved searches section.

From the list, you can:

• Reopen any saved search to see all current matching ads;
• Rename a saved search;
• Turn off notifications for a saved search if you want to keep the search but stop being notified;
• Delete a saved search you no longer need.

Tip: use specific filters (price range, location, brand) to get more relevant notifications. Very broad searches will produce a lot of notifications.
