How does login with Google, Facebook, Apple, or Truecaller work?

If you don't want to remember another password, you can sign up or sign in to Jiji using one of these accounts you already have: Google, Facebook, Apple, or Truecaller.

How it works:

  1. On the Jiji sign-in or sign-up screen, choose the social provider you want to use;
  2. You'll be redirected to that provider (Google, Facebook, Apple) or asked to confirm via the Truecaller app on your phone;
  3. Give permission for Jiji to access your basic info (name, email, profile picture);
  4. You'll be redirected back to Jiji and signed in automatically.

If you're new to Jiji: we'll create a new account using the info from your social provider. You can add or change your phone number, email, and other details later in your profile settings.

If you already have a Jiji account: we'll match it by the email address linked to your social account and sign you in. If we can't match it automatically, you'll be asked to confirm your phone number.

Important things to know:

  • Jiji never sees or stores your social-account password — we only get the basic profile info you allow;
  • You can link multiple social accounts to the same Jiji profile (for example, Google + Facebook);
  • You can disconnect any linked social account at any time in My Profile → Settings → Security;
  • If you signed up via social login only, make sure you have a phone number linked to your Jiji account — it's needed for important features like contacting buyers/sellers.
