Jiji shows you two key statistics for every active ad — so you can see what's working and what to improve.
The two metrics
- Views — the number of times your ad was opened by users. This shows how often people are seeing your listing in search and clicking through to read more.
- Contact views — the number of times someone clicked the "Show contact", "Call", or "Start chat" button on your ad. This is a strong signal that a buyer is interested enough to consider getting in touch.
Where to find your statistics
- Sign in to your Jiji account;
- Go to My Adverts;
- You'll see Views and Contact views displayed next to each ad. Click an ad to see more detail.
How to read these numbers
- High Views, low Contact views — your ad is attracting attention but something is putting buyers off after they open it. Common reasons: photos that don't match the description, a price that looks too high, or a vague description. Try improving these (see Tips for creating an effective ad).
- Low Views, low Contact views — your ad isn't being seen by many people. The title might not include the words buyers search for, or the category may be too crowded. Consider adjusting the title and using a Premium Package to boost visibility.
- High Views, high Contact views, no sale yet — your ad is performing well; you may just need a little more time. Make sure you respond quickly to incoming chats and calls so you don't miss buyers.
Why my numbers may look low
- Your ad was recently posted and hasn't been seen by many users yet — give it a few days;
- Your ad is in a very specific or niche category — fewer buyers, but more relevant ones;
- Your ad is on a slow-traffic day — overall views go up and down across the week.
What "Contact view" doesn't tell you
"Contact view" counts unique clicks to see your contact details — not the number of actual phone calls or chats that started. A user can click "Show contact" without calling you, or call you several times after one click. Use Contact views as an interest signal rather than a precise sales count.
