How to buy something on Jiji?

To fully enjoy shopping on Jiji, follow our simple guide:

1. Search for the item.

   Use the search panel with filters to find what you need. We have over a million adverts, so you can choose exactly what you are looking for.

2. Contact a seller.

   You can chat on Jiji or call the seller by phone to set up a face-to-face meeting, discuss details, or negotiate the price.

3. Take your item or arrange delivery.

   If you collect the item or arrange delivery directly with the seller, inspect it before paying. Meet in a public place when collecting in person. Do not send an advance payment directly to the seller.

   With Safe Deal, pay through the checkout on Jiji before delivery. Your payment is held securely during delivery. Open Safe Deal in your Jiji profile and select the order. Once the order is marked as delivered, the full 24-hour confirmation window starts. Payment is released after it ends, even if you confirm receipt earlier, unless you report a problem. Check the item and select There is a problem before the 24-hour countdown ends if it has not arrived, is damaged or does not match the ad. Your payment stays on hold while Jiji Support reviews the issue. Support tells you the outcome and any return or refund instructions; reporting a problem does not guarantee a full refund.
