Why can ads for sold or unavailable items affect my Pro Sales results?

Why might my Pro Sales results go down?

Sometimes an item gets sold, but its ad is still active on Jiji. Ads for goods that are no longer available can lower the performance of your Pro Sales (paid promotion) for a while.

Does this affect my free listings?

No — this only relates to your Pro Sales paid promotion. Your regular (free) listings are not affected.

How can I keep my Pro Sales results strong?

Make sure all your active ads feature items that are still available. As soon as a deal is done, mark the ad as sold so it stops showing to buyers. See How do I mark my ad as sold?

How long before my results recover?

It's temporary. Once all your active ads feature available items, your Pro Sales performance gradually returns to normal on its own — usually within about a month.
