A short video can boost interest in your ad — buyers see your product in motion, get a better sense of quality, and trust you more. Here's how to add one.
- Upload your video to YouTube (or use an existing Facebook video link);
- Open the video on YouTube/Facebook and copy the link from the address bar;
- Go to My Adverts, find the ad and click Edit (or paste it during ad creation);
- Find the "Video link" field and paste your link;
- Click Save — we'll check the link and attach the video to your ad.
Once saved, buyers will see a video thumbnail on your ad and can play the video right on the page.
Supported video sources
- YouTube — the recommended option. Just paste a regular YouTube link (for example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... or https://youtu.be/...).
- Facebook — also supported, but requires a recent version of the Jiji app for older devices.
Tips for a good ad video
- Keep it short — 30 to 90 seconds is enough for most products;
- Film in good lighting, ideally daylight;
- Show your item from all angles, plus any working features (e.g., screen, engine, sound);
- Don't add aggressive music or contact details on screen — they can prevent your ad from passing review.
Common issues
- "Video not loading on ad page" — make sure the YouTube video is public (not Private or Unlisted) and is not age-restricted; private, unlisted, or restricted videos can't be displayed on Jiji;
- "Video link not accepted" — double-check you've pasted the full URL, not just the title or the channel link;
- "I want to remove the video" — open the ad in Edit mode, clear the video field, and save.
