Can I get a refund for my payment?

How refunds work on Jiji depends on what was paid for and whether the service was already used.

Balance top-ups

Funds you've added to your Jiji Balance cannot be transferred back to your bank account. Once added, they stay in your Balance and can only be used to pay for paid services on Jiji.

Premium Packages and other paid services

  • If a service is already active (your TOP, Boost, or other package is running), it is generally not refundable — you've already started using the promotion.
  • If you've just paid and the service has not yet been activated, or you believe you were charged in error, contact our Support Team — we'll review the case.

Failed or duplicate payments

If a payment failed but money was deducted from your bank account, the bank usually returns it automatically within a few working days. Duplicate payments (where you were charged twice for the same service) are returned to your Balance after review by our team.

Cars45 escrow

Refunds related to Cars45 auctions and seller payouts are handled separately under the escrow system. If you sold a car through Cars45 and have a dispute, contact your dedicated Cars45 manager or our Support Team.

How to request a refund

  1. Sign in to your Jiji account;
  2. Go to My Profile → Transaction history and locate the payment in question;
  3. Send an email to support@jiji.ng with the transaction details, the reason for your refund request, and any supporting documents (payment receipt, debit alert, screenshots);
  4. Our team will review the case and reply within a few working days.

Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
