You can update the phone number linked to your Jiji account at any time. Here's how:
- Sign in to your Jiji account;
- Go to My Profile → Settings;
- Find the Phone number section and click "Change";
- Enter the new phone number you want to link to your account;
- You'll receive a confirmation code by SMS on the new number. Enter the code to confirm.
If the SMS doesn't arrive, you can request a confirmation call instead — we'll call you and read out the code.
Once confirmed, your new phone number replaces the previous one and will be used as your main login.
Important things to know:
- Make sure the new phone number is valid and you have access to it before starting — you need to receive the confirmation code to complete the change;
- The new phone number must not already be linked to another Jiji account;
- There's a limit on how many confirmation attempts you can make in a short period. If you hit the limit, try again later;
- After the change, sign in using the new phone number and your existing password.
