The Tron 60AIS is a Category I Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) (Impa 330291) designed for automatic activation and precise distress alerting during maritime emergencies. Equipped with a float-free bracket, it releases and activates upon contact with water, ensuring operation even if the crew cannot deploy it manually. It meets IMO and SOLAS requirements effective from July 2022. The beacon transmits distress alerts via 406 MHz to the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system and uses AIS to alert nearby vessels, while a 121.5 MHz homing signal assists in final rescue. With GPS accuracy, long battery life, and global approvals (MED, MER UK, FCC, CCS, ANATEL, IC), the Tron 60AIS ensures unmatched reliability for life-saving maritime operations.
