That’s a Full Body Safety Harness + Rope Lanyard - the box says "HARNAIS D'ANCHUTCH / FULL BODY HARNESS" and brand looks like WORKMAN.
What it’s used for:
Fall protection PPE. Required any time someone works at height where they could fall 2m / 6ft or more.
How it works:
1. Harness - The orange straps go over shoulders, chest, waist, and legs. Distributes fall force across your whole body instead of just your waist. That D-ring on the back is the attachment point.
2. Lanyard - The white rope with the big metal snap hook clips to the D-ring on the harness, and the other end clips to a secure anchor point above you.
3. If you fall - The harness catches you and the lanyard stops the fall before you hit the ground.
