A Yokogawa DPharp Transmitter is an industrial field instrument used to measure differential pressure, gauge pressure, absolute pressure, and process fluid levels or flow rates.
The name DPharp stands for Differential Pressure High-Accuracy Resonant Pressure sensor
How it work
Silicon Resonance Sensor: Unlike traditional analog transmitters, the DPharp uses a unique single-crystal silicon sensor with two built-in H-shaped resonators.
Frequency Output: When process pressure acts on the sensor, one resonator goes into tension (increasing frequency) and the other goes into compression (decreasing frequency).
Direct Digital Conversion: The CPU reads the frequency difference directly without needing an analog-to-digital (A/D) converter, providing higher precision, stability, and fast response times
