A bedpan has been described as "a container used as a toilet by a person who is too ill/sick to get out of bed". when a patient feels the call of nature, a bedpan facilitates him/her not to get out of the bed. thus a bedpan plays a very important role in recovery of the patient who is required to have bed rest.
