Responsibilities
Help monitor and respond to customer-support requests
• Use AI to draft, improve and review customer responses
• Track orders and identify delayed or unfulfilled orders
• Follow up with suppliers, fulfilment partners and relevant team members
• Update tasks and information in ClickUp
• Maintain spreadsheets, reports and operational records
• Prepare daily handoff and end-of-shift reports
• Check AI-generated work for accuracy, tone and completeness
• Help document standard operating procedures
• Support simple workflow and automation tasks
• Escalate sensitive or complicated cases appropriately
• Learn how e-commerce customer experience, fulfilment and operations work
Requirements & Skills
• You must currently live in Uyo or be able to commute reliably within Uyo
• Computer literacy is a must
• Daily, hands-on use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude is mandatory
• You must be comfortable working on a desktop or laptop
• Good written English and strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and learn quickly
• Reliability, consistent attendance and good judgement
• Ability to treat customer and business information confidentially
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Previous e-commerce or admin experience is useful but not compulsory. Recent graduates, NYSC members and early-career applicants are welcome. Practical ability, reliability, written communication and genuine familiarity with AI tools matter more than academic qualifications alone.

Opex Startup is building its first local operations team, and we are recruiting two E-commerce Operations & AI Assistants.
This trainee-level role is suitable for an intelligent, dependable and highly trainable recent graduate or early-career professional who wants practical exposure to international e-commerce operations.
Two openings available. The role is part-time initially, with the opportunity to grow into a larger role. Work is in-person/hybrid in Uyo. Candidates must live in Uyo or be able to commute reliably for physical training and assigned office shifts.
