ESAB OK 55 is a low hydrogen welding electrode, basically a 7018 type rod.
It is used for welding carbon steel and low alloy steel. Gives very strong welds with low spatter and smooth finish. The coating is basic so it helps prevent cracks, especially on thick steel or when you need high impact strength.
Works best with DC+ current and needs to be kept dry because low hydrogen rods absorb moisture easily. Commonly used for structural work, pressure vessels, pipelines, and heavy fabrication where weld quality and strength matter.
Packet size varies but it comes as 1kg, 5kg or 20kg.
