Strip Away Paint Remover is a powerful, water-based, solvent-free paint stripping system designed to remove multiple layers of coatings in a single application. A viscous poultice paste that uses water-soluble sodium hydroxide as its active ingredient. Works by being spread evenly across the surface, then covered with a laminated paper blanket that locks in the stripping activity. After about 24 hours, the blanket is peeled away, taking all paint residues with it and revealing the clean substrate beneath. Effective even on old lead-based paints, neutralizing them safely. Removes oil-based alkyds, latex paints, polyurethanes, varnish, shellac, and many commercial coatings. Works more slowly than aggressive chemical removers but is safer for delicate substrates and ideal for carved or moulded surfaces.
