Caterpillar Extended Life Coolant (ELC) is a premium, long-lasting coolant designed for Cat engines and most OEM diesel, gasoline, and natural gas engines.
It provides superior protection against corrosion, cavitation, and overheating while reducing maintenance costs by eliminating the need for supplemental coolant additives.
Cat Extended Life Coolant (ELC)
Longevity: Lasts twice as long as conventional Diesel Engine Antifreeze/Coolant (DEAC) in Cat machines and three times as long in Cat truck engines.
No Supplemental Additives Needed: Unlike traditional coolants, ELC does not require SCAs (Supplemental Coolant Additives). Instead, a Cat Extender is added once at half the coolant’s life.
Advanced Corrosion: Uses organic acid technology (OAT) inhibitors to protect copper, brass, solder, steel, cast iron, and aluminum component
