Cortec's VpCI-368 oil concentrate is a solvent-based, heavy-duty rust-preventative coating that provides multi-metal corrosion protection in harsh outdoor conditions. It is sold in bulk and is designed to be diluted with mineral spirits or other appropriate solvents before application.
Product features
Protection mechanism: VpCI-368 combines an oil-based carrier with Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI). When applied, the solvent evaporates, leaving a firm, wax-like film that displaces moisture and creates a protective barrier. The vapor-phase inhibitors migrate to and protect hard-to-reach metal surfaces.
Film characteristics: It dries to a non-tacky, semi-transparent, waxy film. This makes the coated surface easy to handle without attracting excessive dust or dirt.
