It’s a construction chemical admixture — basically a “tonic for cement” as the label says.
What it’s used for:
1. Integral waterproofing - You mix it into concrete or mortar when casting. It makes the whole structure water-resistant from inside, not just a surface coating. Used for water tanks, basements, bathrooms, terraces, foundations.
2. Increases concrete strength - Helps concrete gain higher compressive strength.
3. Delays steel corrosion - Reduces water/ion penetration, so the rebar inside concrete doesn’t rust as fast. Important in humid places like Benin.
4. Increases workability - Makes the concrete/mortar mix more plastic and easier to place/finish, without adding extra water.
