That’s Hilti CP 637 Firestop Mortar - a fire-rated cementitious mortar/powder.
You mix the pink powder with water before use.
What it’s used for:
1. Firestopping holes & openings in walls/floors - Main job.
When pipes, cables, ducts, conduits pass through fire-rated walls or concrete slabs, you’re left with gaps. Fire + smoke will spread through those gaps.
2. Sealing to restore fire rating
CP 637 is packed around pipes/cables in those openings. It hardens and blocks fire + smoke + toxic gases for up to 2-4 hours depending on the system rating. That’s why it’s called “Firestop”.
