Saffron
Saffron is a premium spice obtained from the delicate red-orange stigmas of the saffron crocus flower (Crocus sativus). Known for its vibrant colour, distinctive aroma, and delicate flavour, saffron is one of the world’s most prized culinary spices.
Saffron can be used in both sweet and savoury dishes. A small amount can add a beautiful golden colour and subtle floral taste to rice, soups, sauces, desserts, teas, and other recipes. It is especially popular in traditional cuisines across the Middle East, South Asia, and Mediterranean regions.
How to Use:
Steep a small amount of saffron threads in warm water, milk, or another liquid for several minutes before adding it to your recipe. It can also be gently crushed and incorporated directly into suitable dishes.
