BM16 model*: The red label on the headstock. “BM” = Bench Mortiser, “16” usually refers to 16mm max chisel capacity.
-Electric motor on top The black + silver motor. Most BM16s are 3/4HP to 1HP, 220V single-phase. The yellow box with red E-stop is the on/off switch.
-Chisel & auger setup The bit going into the red table is a hollow chisel mortising bit – outer square chisel + inner drill bit. It cuts clean square holes in one pass.
-Adjustable table The red base with handwheels and fence. You lock your workpiece here and move it X-Y to position the mortise.
