The Ensoniq MR76 is a 64-voice performance/controller workstation that has incredible weighted action keys rivaling units costing thousands of dollars. Released in 1996, it's got lots of polyphony, 14 MB of RAM, and a very easy to use 16-track sequencer with floppy disk. An "Idea Pad" captures everything you just played and instantly recalls it at the touch of a button... tres cool! The sounds are very realistic, convincing and WAY ahead of its time, especially the stereo and concert piano, orchestral strings, and brass. The drums are wonderfully sampled with lots of velocity articulations. Nice lush pads, searing leads, and top-of-the line combination patches round out this highly underrated but very capable keyboard workstation.
