UNI-T UT302C+ Infrared Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Locate the battery cover: The battery compartment cover is built directly into the front part of the handle—the gray/black section facing forward just below the trigger mechanism.
2. Open the handle: Rest your thumb against the groove on the front handle cover and firmly pull it forward and downward. The cover will swing open or slide loose from the bottom to expose the battery cradle inside the grip.
3. Connect the 9V battery: Take the fresh 9V battery (sitting next to your device in the image) and snap it securely onto the internal battery clip connector. Make sure you align the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals correctly.
4. Close the compartment: Neatly tuck the battery back into the hollow handle channel and snap the handle cover shut until it clicks back into place.
