A clamp meter measures electrical current without needing to cut or disconnect wires. You simply clamp it around a live conductor.
Clamp meter (main device) – measures:
AC/DC current (up to 600A as labeled)
Voltage (AC/DC)
Resistance
Frequency / duty cycle (on some settings)
Temperature (if probe supported)
NCV (Non-Contact Voltage detection)
Test leads (red & black probes) – for measuring voltage, resistance, etc.
Test pen (looks like a voltage tester) – quick live-wire detection
AAA batteries – to power the device
Key features on your meter
Clamp jaws (top red part): Used to measure current without direct contact
Rotary dial: Selects measurement type (A, V, Ω, Hz, etc.)
NCV (LIVE): Detects voltage without touching wires
MAX/MIN button: Captures highest/lowest readings
ZERO button: Used for DC current calibration
