Compacting factor apparatus (Concrete ) BS 1881:103 Designed to undertake a more precise and sensitive test procedure than the simple slump test. The apparatus consists of two conical hoppers mounted on a cylinder. Each hopper has a hinged flange with a quick release mechanism and everything is mounted on a rigid steel stand. The compacting factor is the ratio between the weight of the partially compacted concrete and the weight of the fully compacted concrete. Supplied complete with tamping rod diameter mm 16x600 long.
