About the size of a pack of gum, this USB scanner can be stowed with a laptop or kept near a home computer for spontaneous scanning. The device captures images up to 2 1/8" x 47 1/4" as 300 dpi JPG files, making it ideal for scanning articles from magazines and newspapers, recipes, wallpaper samples, and business cards. The included image editing software inserts scanned images directly into popular software such as Microsoft Word and Excel; an optional OCR setting converts scanned words into editable text. The unit comes with a mounting tray for problem-free scanning of business cards and transfers scanned data to your preferred contact program.
