*6mm x 2 core flex* can work for solar too, but with conditions: - *Where in solar*: DC runs from panels to charge controller/inverter, or battery to inverter connections. Good for small to medium solar setups. - *How*: Use *solar-rated flex* if it’s outside or on the roof. Regular PVC flex go crack under UV and heat. Solar DC needs double-insulated, UV-resistant cable. - *Current*: At 12V/24V/48V, 6mm2 handles ∼50A DC for short runs. But voltage drop kills solar, so keep runs short or upsize. For panels, most installers in Lagos use dedicated solar cable instead of regular flex because of weather + DC arcing risk
