What is it?
Hydrochloric acid is a strong, corrosive mineral acid, an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride gas.
Uses:
1. *Industrial*: Pickling steel, producing chlorides, pH control, and making chemicals like PAC (Poly Aluminum Chloride).
2. *Lab*: Titrations, digestion, and general acid reactions.
3. *Household*: Found in diluted form in some toilet bowl cleaners and descalers (muriatic acid).
