A soil residual contact herbicide for the control of weeds in banana, oil palm, and rubber. Alion 500 SC is a non-selective, pre-emergence herbicide that provides extended residual control of weeds and is tolerant to crops recommended on the label. Its active ingredient, Indaziflam, acts as a soil herbicide via inhibition of weed germination, root growth and weed emergence. To expand the spectrum of weed control Alion 500 SC may be applied pre- and post-emergence when mixed with a wide range of herbicides.
