A 300mm 4-core armored cable consists of four large conductors (each 300 mm2 in size), insulated and protected with steel wire armor (SWA) and an outer sheath. It is designed to carry very high electrical current safely over long distances.
Main Components
1. Conductor
• Made of pure copper or aluminium
• Large size (300 mm2) allows heavy current flow
2. Insulation
• Usually XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) or PVC
• Can withstand high temperature up to about 90°C
3. Bedding Layer
• Inner PVC layer that protects the insulated core
