One of the simplest ways to differentiate between real diamonds and simulated stones is by means of using a diamond tester. And we have just the one you need! This is a very lightweight, portable and accurate tester and is suitable to use on all stones. This device will reliably indicate whether minerals are genuine diamonds or fake crystals/simulated stones. It indicates the authenticity of diamonds by means of a beeping sound and a green light. When this happens, the lights from 1-4 will switch on. For larger stones, the higher the lights will go (up to 8). For metal, it makes a continuous buzzing sound. If it's a fake crystal, a simulant such as cubic zirconium (CZ), then there will be no sound, and no lights switching on. The tester also has an LED screen and an LCD indicator to indicate the readiness of the tool
