Propamocarb is a systemic carbamate fungicide specifically targeting oomycete pathogens like Pythium, Phytophthora, and downy mildews that cause damping-off, root rot, stem rot, and foliar diseases.
It works by disrupting fungal cell wall formation through inhibition of phospholipid and fatty acid synthesis, halting mycelial growth, spore production, and germination for both preventive and curative control.
It is highly effective on vegetables such as tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, and cucurbits, as well as other crops prone to oomycete issues, and is applied via foliar spray, soil drench, or watering.
As a systemic product, it is absorbed by roots or leaves and translocated upward in the plant, providing internal protection with low risk of cross-resistance to many other fungicides.
