To give you an overview, my background is a mix of hands-on financial tracking and direct client management.
My time as a bookkeeper was where I really built my foundational accounting skills. I was responsible for the day-to-day numbers managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and keeping the general ledger accurate. I learned how critical attention to detail is, because a single typo can throw off an entire month-end close.
After that, I worked as a sales representative. While that might seem different from accounting on the surface, it taught me how to manage client relationships, communicate clearly under pressure, and solve problems quickly. In accounting, numbers aren't just data they represent real business operations and client needs. My sales background means I’m comfortable picking up the phone to resolve a billing discrepancy with a vendor or explaining a financial detail to a team member clearly.
I’m looking forward to blending both experiences here, bringing the technical accuracy of a bookkeeper and the communication skills of a sales rep to support your accounting team.
