Green board drywall is a moisture-resistant type of gypsum board featuring a green paper facing treated with wax to handle humidity and occasional splashes. Made of standard gypsum inside, just like conventional drywall. The green-tinted paper face has a wax coating that slows down water absorption. It will fail or grow mold if soaked or put in direct, constant contact with water. Bathroom walls outside the shower, laundry rooms, basements, and kitchens. Can use in shower stalls, behind shower tile, or areas prone to floods or direct water soaking.
