What it is:
Still Polyken pipeline tape by Berry Global, made in USA. The silver one you sent first is the outer/UV-resistant wrap. This black one is the inner layer/butyl tape.
2-layer system for pipe coating:
1. Black inner tape - This one. Thick butyl rubber + PE backing. Main waterproofing + anti-corrosion layer. Sticks directly to primed steel.
2. Silver outer tape - UV + mechanical protection over the black tape.
