DuPont MOLYKOTE 111 Compound is a silicone-based lubricant and sealant designed for O-rings, valves, and outdoor equipment exposed to harsh environments. Composition and Characteristics Base Material: Made from silicone oil with an inorganic thickener, giving it excellent adhesion and stability. Translucent white, NLGI Grade 3–4, with a grease-like consistency. Performs reliably across a wide range from −40°C to +200°C, making it suitable for both low and high-temperature environments. Lubricant for Valves and O-Rings: Commonly used in control valves, pressure plug valves, water softeners, and faucet valves. Sealant for Vacuum and Pressure Systems: Effective in sealing electrical service entrances, meters, and underground connections. Prevents gaskets from sticking to metal surfaces, especially in transformer gaskets and equipment.
