Interthane 990 is a two-component high-gloss aliphatic acrylic polyurethane topcoat from International (AkzoNobel). It offers exceptional durability, UV color retention, and flexibility across various application methods (spray, brush, roller). Designed for above-water surfaces—topsides, decks, superstructures—it cures effectively even at low temperatures, with touch-dry in ~90 minutes at 25 °C and hard-dry in ~6 hours. VOC levels are moderate (~420 g/L). Best applied over compatible anticorrosive primers following proper surface prep; not intended for immersion use.
