A GRP tank (Glass Reinforced Plastic tank) is a modular water-storage tank made from fiberglass-reinforced plastic panels. It is commonly used for potable water, industrial water, fire-fighting water and building water supply.
Main features of GRP tanks
Panel construction: Usually assembled from square panels, commonly 1 m × 1 m, 900 × 900 mm or 1.2 m × 1.2 m.
Corrosion resistant: Does not rust like ordinary steel tanks.
Modular: Tank capacity can be increased by adding panels.
Long service life: Suitable for outdoor and indoor installations when properly designed.
Hygienic: Can be manufactured for potable-water storage.
Easy to transport: Panels can be transported to difficult-to-access sites and assembled there.
Steel support: Larger tanks normally require a properly designed galvanized/painted steel support structure.
