Original Shure sm7db
vocal microphone with active preamp
The Shure SM7dB takes a pro-studio classic (SM7B) and updates it for more modern workflows by adding a built-in preamp and flexible controls. If you’re investing in a vocal mic and you care about sound quality + future-proofing, it’s a very strong pick.
Just make sure your interface supports it (phantom power + some gain headroom) and you give some attention to your room/acoustics.
