The Shure SM7dB is a dynamic vocal microphone with a built-in active preamp, designed for professional broadcasting, music, and podcasting. It is an update to the classic Shure SM7B, featuring the same sound quality but with the added convenience of a built-in preamp that provides up to +28 dB of gain, simplifying the audio setup. The mic is also equipped with features like a cardioid polar pattern, an internal shock mount, and a pop filter, and includes EQ controls on the back for bass roll-off and presence boost.
