For snare and tom mics, you might want to consider various rim/hardware mounts, like those made by Big Bang Distribution, Gibraltar, and Latin Percussion. For bass drums, a short boom stand, like a model from On-Stage, is a great option, but there’s also the Kelly SHU shock-mounting system (shown above), which suspends the microphone inside the kick or on the outside of the front head, and the May Internal Miking System, which consists of mic-mounting hardware that connects to lug screws inside the drum.
