A Clevis Shortening Clutch (also called a Clevis Shortening Hook) is a lifting gear component designed to shorten a chain sling's length without losing its working load limit. It consists of a clevis-shaped part that connects to the chain and allows for adjustment, with the added safety of a locking mechanism.
