Excavator, 320BL Hydraulic Pump - How It Works
Think of it like this: Engine → Pump → Power Everywhere
What the pump does:
It takes mechanical power from the engine and converts it to hydraulic pressure. That pressurized oil is what makes the 320BL lift 20+ tons like say na paper.
The 3 Main Jobs on a 320BL:
1. Digging and Lifting
Powers the main cylinders for boom, stick, and bucket.
This is what lets you dig deep, lift heavy loads, and grade. Without pump pressure, the arm just drops.
2. Turning / Swinging
Pushes fluid to the swing motor.
That’s what rotates the house 360° smoothly so you fit dump spoil or load trucks without moving the tracks.
3. Moving / Tracking
Send oil to the travel motors on both tracks.
This makes the 320BL walk forward, reverse, and climb on site. Also powers steering.
