The ubiquiti unifi dream machine pro max is a 1u rackmount enterprise gateway that combines a security gateway, network controller, and nvr into one device. it uses a 2.0 ghz quad-core arm cortex-a57 processor with 8gb ram, and delivers 5 gbps ids/ips throughput, about double the udm pro/se. it supports 200+ unifi devices and 2,000+ clients, with no built-in wi-fi so access points are added separately.
for networking it includes 8x gbe rj45 lan ports, 1x 10g sfp+ lan, 1x 2.5gbe rj45 wan, and 1x 10g sfp+ wan. storage includes dual 3.5-inch hdd bays for raid nvr, plus a built-in 128gb ssd for recordings and a 32gb emmc for the os. it also has a 1.3-inch touchscreen, shadow mode for high-availability failover with a second unit, and runs the full unifi suite:
network, protect, access
