Rust Converter Liquid is a chemical surface-treatment product formulated to convert existing iron oxide (rust) into a stable, non-reactive protective layer. It is designed for use on rusted iron and steel surfaces before painting or applying protective coatings.
The liquid penetrates rust and reacts with the corroded metal surface, producing a dark, paintable conversion layer that helps stop further corrosion and improves coating adhesion. It reduces the need for extensive sanding, grinding or abrasive blasting, although loose rust, grease, dirt and flaking paint should be removed before application.
