Onyx marble is a luxurious, translucent, and semi-precious stone formed from calcite or aragonite in cold-water springs. Known for its striking, banded, and often veined appearance in colors like honey, green, and white, it is widely used for high-end decorative, back-lit, and low-traffic applications. It is more fragile and porous than typical marble. Key Characteristics and Uses: Appearance & Properties: Translucent (allows light to pass through), rich color variation, and often polished for a high-gloss finish. It is softer and more prone to scratches than granite or, in some cases,, conventional marble.
