Primary School Teacher

Location: GRA, Benin City For the Primary Teacher (Ages 5–8), these responsibilities are strong and clear: Plan and deliver engaging lessons. Prepare weekly lesson plans, class activities, homework and assessments. Teach in line with the school’s curriculum and academic expectations. Support pupils to develop strong reading, writing, numeracy and problem-solving skills. Assess pupils regularly and keep accurate records of their progress. Identify pupils who may need additional support or further challenge. Maintain a well-organised, stimulating and safe classroom environment. Manage pupil behaviour positively and consistently. Encourage confidence, independence, good manners and positive learning habits. Prepare learning materials and ensure classroom resources are properly used and maintained. Communicate pupils’ progress, concerns and achievements to the appropriate school leadership. Work collaboratively with other teachers and members of the school team

ABLE TO WORK Location: GRA, Benin City Minimum of 4 years’ teaching experience in a Nursery or Primary School. Proven experience teaching children aged 5–8 years. A relevant qualification in Education, Early Childhood Education or a related field. Strong knowledge of English, Mathematics, Reading, Phonics and basic Science. Good understanding of lesson planning, classroom delivery and pupil assessment. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Excellent spoken and written English. Ability to identify different learning needs and adapt teaching accordingly. Confident in using teaching resources, educational technology and classroom materials effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Organised, dependable, punctual and able to manage responsibilities independently. Patient, caring, creative and genuinely passionate about children’s education.

Minimum Qualification: NCE or B.Ed from a recognised institution. TRCN certification is an added advantage.
