A 3-ton forklift is a powered industrial truck used to lift, carry, and transport loads up to 3,000 kg over short distances. It is widely used in warehouses, factories, and construction sites for handling palletized materials. The main parts include the mast, forks (tines), hydraulic system, counterweight, operator cabin, and tyres. During operation, the forks are inserted under the load and raised using hydraulic pressure, while the counterweight at the rear maintains balance and prevents tipping. Forklifts can be powered by diesel, LPG, or electricity. They improve efficiency, reduce manual labour, and ensure safe and effective material handling.
