The primary function of a softbox such as the Lantern is to provide omnidirectional fill light which is needed on every set.
Traditionally used in filmmaking, the lantern globe is based off Chinese lanterns. The omnidirectional structure is a perfect choice for illuminating entire rooms with soft, even light. A single globe is an ideal solution for lighting a room while the use of several globes will evenly illuminate an entire scene. 360 degrees of lighting creates a soft natural effect that is great for revealing the gradual skin tone in portraits.
The lantern also features a unique push down to clip system that makes set up and tear down quick and easy. Compatible with reflective dishes, the lantern gains the ability to bounce light and produce a larger spill.
